Use AnyScan responsibly.
These plain-language terms cover the browser-native QR code and barcode tools available through AnyScan.
The service
AnyScan’s core browser tools are offered free of charge, with no mandatory account or subscription. Generation happens on your device. Features may be improved, corrected or changed to preserve safety, compatibility and reliability.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the information you encode and for having the right to use it. Do not use AnyScan for unlawful, deceptive, abusive or rights-infringing activity, or to create codes intended to harm people or systems.
Verify important outputs
Test codes with the scanners, printers, materials and dimensions you intend to use. Confirm destinations, product numbers, check digits, contact details and other important information before distributing or printing at scale.
AnyScan encodes data; it does not host files
Ordinary QR codes cannot hold large photos, videos, PDFs or archives. AnyScan does not secretly upload or host those files. To share a large file, you need an existing link to a location you control or trust, then encode that link.
Third-party destinations and advertising
A generated code may open a website, app, phone action or other destination outside AnyScan. Any advertising shown on the site is also provided by third parties. AnyScan does not control those destinations, their availability or their content.
Availability and warranties
AnyScan is provided as a practical utility on an “as available” basis. Browser support, scanner behavior, print quality and third-party destinations vary. To the extent allowed by law, no guarantee is made that every output will work in every environment, and AnyScan is not responsible for losses caused by unverified or incorrect downstream use.
Privacy
The Privacy page explains local processing and the limited metadata that ordinary site, advertising or aggregate analytics requests may involve.
